Description
Join Us for Music ~ Dinner ~ Live/Silent Auction The evening proceeds will benefit programs at the UNC Center for Excellence in Community Mental Health Life with No Limits: Empowering individuals to achieve recovery Mental illness can strike anyone, regardless of economic status, race, gender, creed or color. One in four Americans, approximately 62 million Americans, experience mental illness in a given year. With compassionate and evidence-based treatment and support, a life of recovery is possible. Treatment and recovery are ongoing processes that happen over time. The first step is getting help. Recovery from mental health challenges is a journey of change that allows individuals to improve their health and live a self-directed, meaningful life in communities of their choice and strive to achieve their lifes’ full potential. The individuals we serve seek a community that provides support, a well-meaning purpose in life that may include a career, job, paid volunteer or school and a stable and safe place to live. For many, the first step in recovery is getting the right help and support. We represent a team of clinical, health, rehabilitation, and peer professionals supporting individuals’ recovery journeys. In other words, a Life with No limits.
