Description
The future of a child attending the Boys & Girls Clubs of Durham and Orange Counties is bright! Among our teens, 99% expect to graduate high school on time and 80% expect to continue onto post-secondary education.
The Blue Door Breakfast is a celebration of our youth and all that they can accomplish. For 80 years, our Blue Doors have remained open and every day our members discover, play, and learn. Enjoy a delicious breakfast with friends and family, meet Youth of the Month recipients, and hear from our special guest speakers.
This year we will hear from Youth of the Year Imani Alexsis and Pierce Freelon. Pierce Freelon is a current Chapel Hill professor, musician, and community activist who has also taught at North Carolina Central University, and has performed, lectured, and collaborated internationally.
