Description
The Orange-Chatham Group of the Sierra Club and the Chamber are co-sponsoring a talk entitled, "Business to the Rescue -- Can Corporations Lead Us to a More Sustainable World?" given by Kenan-Flagler professor Carol Hee.
Corporations are often vilified for their role in environmental degradation, yet corporations desiring competitive advantage and leadership are increasingly embracing sustainability as a path to profits. In this talk, UNC Professor Hee will discuss market forces starting to allow business to act as an accelerator of sustainable development.
The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.
