Description
Carolyn Adams is set in a small town in Northern California in the back room of a used sporting goods shop. The titular character of the play is a kind, beautiful, and well-loved high school senior who died over 50 years ago in a tragic car accident. When Tom, co-owner of the shop, runs into Cooper and Grace at the grocery store, he invites them to come to the shop and watch Monday Night Football, which Tom, John, Matt, and Kevin do every week. Tom is stunned by Grace’s uncanny resemblance to the long-dead Carolyn, but is it more than coincidence? Carolyn Adams is written by Mark Cornell and directed by Nancy Lane, and stars Mark Jantzen (John), Paul Newell (Tom), Evit Emerson (Kevin), Ryan McDaniel (Matt), Will Pierson (Cooper), and Gwyneth Benitez-Graham (Grace). Full Nelson Theater was formed by playwrights Mark Cornell and Paul Newell out of a shared goal to produce original theatrical work in the Triangle. Their first play, Dawn’s Early Light, premiered at The Cary Theater in 2017. Paul Newell’s one-man show The Devil and Mark Twain debuted to glowing reviews at The ArtsCenter this past March. Carolyn Adams, Full Nelson’s fourth play, was supported by a grant from the Manbites Dog Theater Fund. Note: this play contains coarse language. Recurring Event Friday, November 1st Saturday, November 2nd Sunday, November 3rd Friday, November 8th Saturday, November 9th Sunday, November 10th Time: Friday and Saturday shows at 8:00pm Sunday Shows at 3:00 pm
