Description
We’re fortunate to hear from Rep. David Price at May’s EDPP Committee meeting. Get an update on federal issues and ask questions of our sitting congressman, 8-9:30 a.m., Thursday, May 5 at the Chamber’s Louise Beck Properties conference room.
Congressman David Price represents North Carolina's Fourth District that includes parts of Alamance, Orange, Durham, Wake, Harnett, Chatham and Cumberland counties.
Price currently serves on the House Appropriations Committee and is the ranking member of the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Subcommittee. He is also a member of the Appropriations subcommittees covering homeland security, military construction and veterans affairs.
EDPP Committee meetings are open to any Chamber member employee.
Charge to the EDPP Committee: To advise the chamber board of directors and professional staff and to inform membership on policy and economic development initiatives that impact our members land business community at large, to advocate for legislation and regulation that benefits the local economy, and engage members in advocacy and the electoral process.
