Back by popular demand, the Chamber will host its Economic Outlook Briefing presented by Time Warner Cable Business Class, 7:30-9:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 13 at Governors Club.
Dr. Michael Walden, Distinguished Professor of Economics at NC State University, will keynote our briefing, describing trends and the latest economic issues facing our region. Dr. Walden, who was recently awarded the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, wrote, “North Carolina’s growth in jobs since the bottom of the recession (February 2010) now exceeds the comparable growth rate in jobs at the national level. Specifically, from February 2010 to November 2012, North Carolina added jobs at a 3.8 percent rate,
