Description
Come learn about making and saving money by going green and sustainable - and do it for free! The Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce announced that it will provide scholarships to Chamber members for Green Plus, a national sustainability education, networking, and certification program that was conceived in Chapel Hill. In offering these scholarships, the Chamber joins Duke Energy, the Park Foundation, and other sponsors in their efforts to make sure smaller North Carolina employers can take advantage of Green Plus.
Please join us for an informal information session to learn about how the Green Plus program can help your business.
Green Plus participants receive an introductory interview about their goals before moving on to a diagnostic that helps them examine their business, environmental, employee, and community practices. Upon completing the Green Plus diagnostic, participants receive a road map to improving their operations, coaching from area graduate students, and gain access to a regional and national network of Green Plus businesses for advice and commerce. Businesses earning exceptional scores over time may qualify for Green Plus Certification, a nationally recognized seal of sustainable business. The retail value of the Green Plus certification is $550.
