Description
SOME WHERE OVER THE RAINBOW…
…service dogs may be free, but here in the Triangle, they are not.
Please join the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Leadership Class of 2010 for a special viewing of “The Wizard of Oz” from 6-9 p.m., Monday, Nov. 29 at the Varsity on Franklin in downtown Chapel Hill to help raise funds for Eyes Ears Nose and Paws.
It can take up to $20,000 to fully prepare a dog for service in the home of a person with a disabling medical condition. This special fundraiser will defray the cost of bringing an assistance dog in to help an individual take more control over his or her life.
Tickets are only $15 and include a delicious lunch-box-style diner to enjoy at your seat and a spot for the movie. A free shuttle is available from Chapel Hill Internal Medicine, 940 MLK, Jr. Blvd – leaves at 6:05 and returns at 9:05
Evening activities: “The Wizard of Oz,” Dinner, Silent Auction, Raffle, and Cash Bar
For tickets, contact Tim Smith at (919) 824-6117 or visit www.carolinachamber.org/events
Please make checks payable to ‘The Foundation for a Sustainable Community’ the community development arm of the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce. The Varsity is located at 123 E. Franklin St.
