Description
Have you used radio PSAs to promote your non-profit?
Radio PSAs have never been a more relevant way to reach your audience. Radio listening is up according to Nielsen data. AM/FM radio still reaches 93% of U.S. adults, 58% of all listening goes to just one station, the listener's favorite and listening is consistent year-round with at least 5 days tuned in. This session, led by Chela Tu of WCHL and Margot Lester of The Word Factory, showcases the value of PSAs, offers an easy-to-use strategy for writing them, and offers detailed information on how they work.
Margot Carmichael Lester is a communications strategist and owner of The Word Factory. Over her 35-year career, she has helped organizations tell better stories and create influence to get results. Her agency's nonprofit clients include The Recording Academy (producer of the GRAMMYs) and the North Carolina AIDS Action Network. Margot has served on many nonprofit boards, including the Chamber, Art Share Los Angeles and the Orange County Historical Museum. She currently serves on the PTA Thift Shop board and chairs its communications committee.
NPRT is powered by Executive Service Corps.
