Description
Score Dollars for Your Non-Profit through AmeriCorps
AmeriCorps is a program of the Corporation for National and Community Service, an independent federal agency whose mission is to improve lives, strengthen communities, and foster civic engagement through service and volunteering. AmeriCorps is made up of three main programs: AmeriCorps State and National, AmeriCorps VISTA, and AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps). At the Non-Profit Roundtable, we will be reviewing these three funding programs and how to write a competitive application. All Non-Profits are encouraged to attend to see how AmeriCorps can help their organization thrive!
Megan G. Smith serves on the NC Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service, which supports volunteerism in North Carolina and manages AmeriCorps State programs. She has served on the Commission for 6 years, reviewing applications, making funding recommendations, and performing site visits.
Join us at the Chamber office for our October Non-Profit Roundtable and learn how to receive funding through AmeriCorps. The Roundtable is free, but space is limited. Registration is required. To register, click on the "Register Online" button above or email Chela at ctu@carolinachamber.org.
