Description
Millennials in the the non-profit sector
Millennials working in nonprofits are hungry to make real, systemic changes within their organizations and broader communities. Unfortunately, whether due to a lack of time, resources, or understanding, Millennials are not receiving the investment and opportunities needed in order to be best prepared to take on additional roles and responsibilities as they grow in their careers.

Sarah Battersby (Triangle Community Foundation) and Alexa Sykes (Teach For America), two emerging leaders, will speak to their own personal opportunities and challenges as they navigate their nonprofit careers. Along with other representatives from the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN) Triangle chapter, the conversation will focus on how executives can help shift how nonprofit organizations approach recruitment, retention, and advancement of Millennials on their staff and boards of directors under the auspices of working towards a more inclusive, sustainable sector.
NPRT is powered by the Executive Service Corps.
