Human Resources: The Care and Feeding of your most valuable nonprofit resource!
Often nonprofits must address time critical HR issues without proper training and support. When should you call for help? What can you do to be more proactive about your HR policies and procedures? If you have specific HR questions you would like addressed in the group, please email Trudy Smith trudy@esctriangle.org before the end of the day Friday May 6th.
Speaker: Greg Roper
A proven leader with a record of achieving organizational results in complex environments, Greg is an organizational change management and human resources professional who leverages talent to drive process and system improvements that are sustainable. He served in key human resources leadership positions for companies such as Flowserve, Owens Corning and Loparex, earning a reputation as a disciplined and focused professional.
Greg has also devoted his talents to the nonprofit world in the past. He served on the board of Crisis Nursery, a safe haven for kids who have family in crisis in Champaign, IL, and was a former board member of the Paper Technology Foundation, an organization devoted to the development of students pursing paper science degrees.
Greg earned his Ph.D. in organizational development from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL, and a master’s degree in human resource management from the Keller Graduate School in Chicago.
In addition, he has earned several human resources certifications to include Myers-Briggs, Certified Master Coach, Certified ROI Professional and Certified DDI Targeted Selection trainer. Greg has also taught as an adjunct professor at Keller Graduate School of Management, University of Phoenix and Roosevelt University. Greg’s website is www.3phasesofchange.com
