Topic: How to Start a New Business
There are several steps to take and factors to consider before starting your own business. the inaugural 2019 Taking Care of Business event will help you to focus on what is critical. At this seminar you will learn:
- What is takes to be a successful entrepreneur
- How to evaluate your business idea's feasibility
- what are the critical steps of business planning
- What local resources are available to help you
Speaker Bio: Abby Zarkin of Zarkin Leadership, LLC
Abby Zarkin is Executive Leadership Coach with over 30 years of corporate as well as hands-on entrepreneurial experience. She's held management positions at IBM and Lenovo. After retiring from Lenovo, she launched a speciality candy business based in Chapel Hill, NC - Sweeten Creek Candy Company - which provides exclusive corporate gifts to her clients' high value customers. As a SCORE certified coach and mentor, she advises new and existing small business owners on strategies and plans to further thier success.
