Description
Join us for:
- Networking and refreshments
- A success story: Vimala Rajendran of Vimala's Curry Blossom Cafe - the Chamber's 2013 Business of the Year
- Group problem solving
Vimala's has increased its space by more than 50% since opening, and as a result, hired more staff and increased revenue. Downtown parking, construction, and signage are challenges that Vimala's has overcome with the use of social media and word-of-mouth recommendations. Vimala's "everybody eats" fund serves people in need - regardless of their ability to pay - a life-sustaining meal, and Vimala's contributes regularly to local non-profits and human-interest causes.
About Taking Care of Business (TCB) forums
We've partnered with SCORE - a group of talented retired executives - to recast the Small Business Roundtable, rename it Taking Care of Business, and improve our small business education and services.
For 50 years nationwide, SCORE has helped millions of small businesses every step along the way - from idea conception, through successful business expansion and transition - leveraging its volunteer mentors' experiences and wisdom.
Our local SCORE chapter is ranked one of the nation's top ten chapters in customer satisfaction, and their services are free! Learn more or connect with a mentor for free small business advice at http://chapelhill.score.org.
The TCB forum takes place from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month in the Louise Beck Properties Conference Room at the Chamber office. The roundtable is free for members, and registration is required.
